Hi All

After just having first road and enjoying my first rides in the glorious sun i think it's time i had a drinks bottle as my rides are getting longer and i have always just struggled on to the nearest shop for a can of coke/mars bar.

I have 2 cages fitted allready. Where/what bottles will fit them ?

What should i be filling them with to keep energy levels up ??

Cheers

    All bottles will fit.

    Fill them with water.

    That'll be a £150 consultation fee.

    Cold water.

If you are riding for more than 90 minutes, then you can think about sports drinks (lucozade etc) or make your own with squash and sugar.

What about for 4 and half hours WITHOUT A BREAK

I find the bottles with soft (rubber?) valve caps are much easier to open.

For some brill bottles -go for the camel back ones - yeh at £8.99 a shot they are expensive but very good.

Drinks for longer rides - go for a carb drink like isostar - works out cheap if you but the big tubs.

Look into drinking about 500 ml per hour.

The cheap bottles will be difficult to open and will sometimes leak when you squeeze them. They also make your drink taste like plastic.

The more expensive ones will be easier to squeeze and will have more rubbery valves which are easier to open with your teeth.

This is my favourite... You can really squeeze the life out of it and get a mouthful (literally) in about 1.5 seconds because the valve opens right up.
