Having just been caught out with a dying mobile phone just as I'm expecting a call I needed a quick solution!
Thankfully there was a Maplins nearby and I found this:
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=222899
Nice and compact, has plenty of adapters for different phones, runs off a single AA and has a flashlight! Easily stoable in a saddle bag or jersey pocket, so if the worst does happen and your out and about when your battery dies at least you can let someone know!
Anyone else got any handy essentials, asides from the usual compact multi-tools and spare tubes, they want to share?

Bass, as Greg pointed out earlier in the week, one of these:
I know you say you don't trust em, but combined with a minipump (as backup) they are ace, especially when riding with other people, makes changing tubes so much quicker and less hanging around for all concerned.
Also, one of these (Crank Bros Speedlever):
And a dogtag with ICE on it. I have this on my phone, but carry a tag on my person as well.- 2023 Vielo V+1

JA - That tyre lever looks rather smart, just read the review on Wiggle! Might try and grab one of those.
The CO2 inflators do look good and I'll probably add them to my wish list for when people have no idea what to get me :-)0 -
