My bike is working fine again, I'm back to loving it (it did keep breaking), it's pretty dry out there and all is good.
Splendid!

glad to hear it matt....
those dips in enthusiasm are a pest true enough....Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I believe in the future of the human race.

Nice one Matt - I had almost a year of that 'can I be arsed/not that into it anymore' feeling - although I was injured and couldn't ride that much anyway...
Nice to rediscover the love/passion again!
I must admit this sun has made it soo much better, I went for 3 rides yesterday (only an hour each one) on different bikes!!! ha ha
neighbours must be confused seeing me on all these bikes!!!
Enjoy your ride and the weather!!!

Matt, bikes need as much if not more care than the good lady! neglect them just the once and you'll pay for it! keep them sweet and spoil them with shiny things and you'll be laughing!
am desperate to get out on the bike but cant due to this damn cold! :evil:Timmo.

Me too For once NOTHING is wrong with the bike, the sun is out and the trails are neerly dry and i'm loving it again Had 3 fantastic rides last week and riding this afternoon and tomorrow, after the clocks go forward i'll hopefully be out most days again.0

Small chink in the enthusiasm - having already done a 10k coast run (flipping hilly!) I went for an evening blast. Lovely and dry so upped the speed then randomly hit something very hard (unseen low tree stump maybe) - bent wheel, snapoed spokes and thought I'd broken my ankle - couldn't put any weight on it at all! Then feeling came back and I limped home. Don't think it's anything serious but a bit of a setback - at least the bike broke for a reason though!0

oh no matt, thats not so good matey, i hope tha ankle is okay and doesnt put paid to your coast biathalon??
must have been a quite serious knock to affect you like that, hope its just a temptory thing!Timmo.

Timmo - still limping today but think it's just bad bruising. Oops! I shall be running and cycling on it tomorrow whatever happens!0

Had my front wheel rebuilt and all nipples (snigger) replaced. Cost very little.
