Yes, I do this. The bike goes on the roof of the car (Thule Proride 591)

My trip is 20 miles each way, and while there are days when I cycle 12 each way, I usually cycle at least 4 miles each way.

There are no showers, changing rooms, or lockers at my work, and I haven't been organised enough to find a way to ditch the car, yet. But I am working on it. :)
  • I shal be doing this, hopefully from next week. half drive half ride of an 18 mile commute, maybe working up to riding the whole distance.

Not me. But remember: as the Father of SCR'ing, you're obliged to SCR when you're driving too :D:D:D
Swim. Bike. Run. Yeah. That's what I used to do.

...for anyone trying park and ride choose your parking space carefully. I had a very nasty "you can't park near my house" incident. :? :(

I do this most weekdays. Drive in to Bristol and leave my bike outside of someones (nice) house in Bishopsworth to cycle the rest of the journey to the town centre. It easily gets me in quicker than driving in to town, even with the shower at the other end...

    Heartily recommend it!
