ive just replaced my standard brakes on my new trek 1.5 with shimano 105 but the outer brake cable end caps wont fit in the top of the brake adjuster, so i ordered some more but they will not fit either do the 105 have smaller openings then standard brakes

End caps (Ferrules) are for gear cables only, you don't use them on brakes. Just slide the cable in bare.

I have found the brake cable ferrules fit into the frame mountings but not into the STI shifters and brake adjusters. Just leave them off it won't cause any problem :?
