Blurry vision

Noticed a couple of days ago that I have a blurry area of vision in my left eye - right in the middle, perfectly circular - almost as if I had stared at the sun or a bright light. Apart from I haven't and it is still here! Against a dark surface it looks somewhat brighter, and against a bright one a darker area. If a blink it is very noticable! It doesn't move, and is about 2 inches accross at arms length. It is quite noticable when reading, almost as if I feel something is in my eye.
Could it be linked to the topical steroid treatment I just had for a fungal infection? (central serous retinipathy?) Seems to be fading gradually, but unsure wheterer I should leave it for a while or get back to the doc.

Yep you're right. Fecking fed up of docs though ;-)0

Local Eye casualty might be better sonic (if there is one down your way), manned by opthalmologists so bit more clued up on eyes than your average GP.... (and far more clued up than me!)0

Eh, can't read!
Lol, sounds the best plan, shall get down there early next week. Has improved very slightly, the vision has returned in the middle of the patch, but there is still this circular blob.
Cheers steve.
PS I wouldn't have missed that rock you hit at Inners though ;-). Top stack!0 -

Sounds like Central serous retinopathy; do straight lines appear to be wavy? Get it checked out asap!0

Lines appear fine!
It has just about gone now0 -
It doesnt get worse the more beer you drink does it0

get down the optician for an eye checkup, hope its not as serious as my mum, but she got glaucoma with similar symptoms, but don't worry too much, just get it checked out0

I agree, anything to do with eyes is worth a checkup even just to hear you have nothing wrong - its what you pay your N.I. for so make use of it.0
