I have a Shimano hollowtech 2 bottom bracket and Shimano Hones crankset and last couple days there is a slight knocking noise, there is no play as such and no wobble and all is secure as i checked the bolts etc how ever where i think is very slight play i think is when i hold the crank arm and i push down there is very slight crunch i mean ever so slight. It does make noise however when im riding and put the power down makes slight knocking noise??? any ideas i am training bike mech and i think the bearings are on one side of the BB are damages or need regreasing but they are sealed cartrages so i reackon need new bearings cups i think, any one advise any further am i right??????
I don't have a bike addiction problem.....bikes seems to have a problem with me.....it just can't seem to stay on.

Does sound like bearing failure. Only real way to tell is to change 'em and see if it stops.
