The title says it all really.
Its too warm for proper winter gloves but too cold for summer mitts or no gloves.
Sooo what's everyone else wearing that they would recommend pls.

I just got some long finger Spesh gel mitts (wanted more padding than the Equinox), used them last night for the first time and they worked well.

one to avoid, if it helps

Gore windstoppers - not enough padding and not tough enough where the seams are at the contact ponts - and at 30 quid a bit pricey too...

I bought some silk running gloves from Decathlon (for about £5) and use them underneath normal mitts. The Decathlon gloves are thin enough to fit comfortably under the mitts and add enough warmth for even the chilly mornings we're having just now.

I've got some endura ones which are perfect IME. Windproof, waterproof, gel padding (but not too thick). They are insulated, but not bulky like a lot of others (I tried the sealskinz, but too hot)
  • Specialized BG Gels... Lovely padding, great for spring through to autumn, thin enough to wear under oversized winter style gloves :)

I have Specialized Deflects but have had to wear inners for a couple of months as they simply haven't been warm enough. Been ok on their own since it has turned mild of late.

I've got a couple of pairs of Assos Early Winter 851s which are lovely and warm with a nice long cuff but I think the padding could be improved slightly. On 3+ hour rides I have noticed a bit of ache that I don't get from my Specialized gloves and mitts.

A Spesh BG palm with the qualities of the Assos glove would be ideal for me.
