I've got a worn out Superlight. I want a new full sus. It needs to climb well (yes, I like that sort of thing) but I want a little more descendiing confidence - having had a couple pf short rides I realise part of my nervousness reflects a steepish head angle. So what do I buy for all day epics - new Superlight with 120s, Yeti 575, Motolite, Trek 9, Turner 5 Spot or something else. Budget..........£3k + or - a bit. I know it's down to individual choice and test rides, but my head is spinning on the choices and I want a prod as to where to start.

I found the same that lighter bikes tend to have very poor geometry form coming down hills. Orange 5 may be worth a look. They climb well but they really shine when it comes to going down the hill. That or top whack Lapierre Zesty.

I rode a mates Yeti for a couple of hours in the Peak district. Biggest issue was a too short fork on it- his build. If it had some "proper" forks on it'd be a fantastic bike. Light climbs well descends well.
Giant Reign also worth a look, slacker head angle by a degree this year. Mines built more for shorter rides, and slacker again with the RS Lyrik fork I fitted. Standard bike just under 30lb IIRC, mines about 32/33- not actually weighed it... But beefier fork, coil shock and dropper post...

Edit: and if you want sorting out proper, I know some guys..... :P Would you prefer bare knuckles and kicking or iron bars?
