Commencal normal

Hi All,
Does anyone have an opinion on the Commencal Normal? My female friend is looking for a mountain bike, and being a bit of a tomboy, she doesn't want a women's bike!! She's also fallen in love with the frame (and dare I say colour!).
Here's a link if anyone is interested:

Beyond the need to take one for a test ride, can anyone vouch for or against the Commencal Normal?? She's not pro or anything so is just after 'a cool little runaround'. And as I say, she's really fallen in love with this bike over others.
Thanks peeps

Depending where you're based, get one ordered in for her & let her have a go. She can only say no if it doesn't feel right. Would be a great 1st good quality bike for her though, expensive enough to have good brakes & stuff, cheap enough not to break the bankStart Weight 18st 13lbs March 2009

That's great Knight, thanks - the kind of input I was looking for. That's what I was thinking - a good beginner's bike but not a shabby dog. Cheers0

If you can find this months WMB mag it did very well, all of those bikes are in that price range, so maybe something to pick up & mull over with her. Honest, impartial advice from people who know more than you or me!Start Weight 18st 13lbs March 2009

Great, will do actually, thanks. Will head down Smiths tomorrow.
I can't speak for you but I totally agree with the knowing more than me part!!! :oops:0 -
Tell her to get a womens saddle though - unless she has a pair of balls too she might find the standard one a bit uncomfortable.0

Haha yes - good point! Will make sure she doesn't have any! :shock:0
