I got knocked off my bike in Hammersmith by a driver who turned off the main road without looking. Not completely her fault as the cycle lane runs the wrong way up a one way road and so she wasnt expecting any traffic in the other direction.
I passed though a give way mark as she had stopped before turning and then panicked, hit the accelarator instead of the brake (by her own admission) and so I got thrown over the front. Knackererd shoulder and the bike.

However, despite having given, as did she, statements to Police and the THREE amblances in attendance (!), Ive been sent a Police Collision/Incident form to fill in with a cover letter which says "its the subject of Police enquiries".

Is this standard policy, or does it mean they are investigating me. What can the Police do to me worst case? Do I need to get a lawyer!
Fitter....healthier....more productive.....

Probably just wanting to get your side of the story properly, seeing as damage was caused and there was injury.
'Twas Mulga Bill, from Eaglehawk, that caught the cycling craze....

If it is with a statement sheet its generally just because of that. Usually if they are looking at you for blame then they will speak to you either personally or on the phone. I think I had the same letter last year with my off.

A lawyer will obviously come in handy for the insurance side of things, or if you're in the CTC go through them  Anyone who rides daily should join the CTC or British Cycling imo. Very handy groups on many levels.

    All very standard.

Do get a lawyer or join CTC / BC and get their assistance.

Do get the shoulder checked out - go to doc / GP - the reason I say this is I was taken out in December - my shoulder is still bad and I have physio twice a week....got an appointment with a specialist next month - but given the clunking and clicking my shoulder is doing...it looks like an op to sort it.

Same here except its both my knees... annoyingly the quacks I've seen dont think theres anything wrong with joints that pop and crack, constantly ache and sometimes give way. :?
