which wheelset?? URGENT PLEASE !!

Looking to change my Felt Q800s from rim to disc brakes. I need new wheels as the hubs are not disc ready at the minute. Dont want to spend loads, but have narrowed it down to Mavic Crossride Disc or Bontrager Race Lite Disc. Are either of these any good? Thoughts please as I will be buying today! Thanks

What's your budget?
You might be able to get a set of hand built wheels, which are usually much stronger than a machine built wheel.
Look on Merlincycles.co.uk they are one of the best wheel builders out there, Stif are also very good.

I'd go XT hubs on 717 rims for XC if you are less than 16 stone.0

I went XT/717 from Merlin, very very pleased, they're strong enough for everything I've thrown at them. I do sometimes think I should've gone 719 though as I like the ride of fatter tyres, and the 717 will only take up to 2.3 (I sneak 2.35s on in the hope that the gods of cycling don't notice and smite me)Uncompromising extremist0
