Repeat posts

Hi all, just was wandering why people don't just delete double posts as there is a delete option to the right next to the bit you can flag a post as inappropriate. I assume people are not aware of this feature


(p.s it's just to the right of the 'edit post' part)

I noticed that, in the screenshot which a mod supplied to a recent comment. It's a bit of an interface problem though: a widget with 'x' on it is synonymous with 'close', as in 'close window'. Here it is used to represent delete, which is a secondary, and older, meaning. If the button just displayed 'delete', it would get noticed a lot more.

You 2 seem to be priveleged. There's nothing on any of my posts, just: Quote, Edit and !. No 'X' widgets.

Are you both stealth mods with extra functionality?

Edit: Strangely, this post has an 'X' widget. I've not seen it on any of my other posts and it wasn't on the posts I checked before posting this.

Correct. I double posted recently , during a period of slow to non-existant response , and couldn't see how to delete.
