Hi,
I'm working in Brighton this Friday and should finish by the late afternoon and instead of heading straight back to Brizzle I thought I'd check out some mtb in the SE and have a quick blast around a trail centre.
It's got to be a trail centre that's waymarked 'cos I haven't the maps or time to go off getting lost and so on. I'll have lights and don't mind travelling anywhere in a general westerly direction from Brighton.
I'm looking at Queen Elizabeth Park, Leith Hill or Swinley can anyone recommend any of these over the others? I'll need somewhere to park the motor that doesn't close at sundwon just in case (like at Cannock Chase).

Well thanks for all your replies!
I knew it was going to be a bad day when I went to load the trusty P7 to find the front fork was pissing oil everywhere, so I took my ancient Gringo instead.
I chipped my windscreen on the M4 resulting in a lovely crack that's slowly spreading, and the traffic out of Brighton was a nightmare.
Upon arrival at QE park I didn't get too lost and started up the trail, but just after the first climb and mini descent, there's a large clattering sound and I look down and the effing rear mech/hanger has broken off. Do I have the right tools (a small spanner) to loosen the gear cable? Do I f*ck, so in a rage I rip the whole thing off after undoing the gear levels and leave it hanging from a tree just off the trail where it happened, so look for a Shimano Altus if you're heading that way soon.
Luckily I have my chain tool so after 30 mins intermiable faffing and much cursing I convert to single speed and limp back to the carpark.0 -
