We're planning a trip up to ride possibly Ae,Kirroughtree,Mabie and Dalbettie in beginning of June. We're planning to camp and we were wondering where's the best place to stay! Does anyone know of a good camp site in the centre of these places, possibly within walking distance of a pub!

We tend to stay at the Barnsoul wigwams when we do this trip.

Not walking distance to a pub but a reasonable trip to all the trail centres and with a bbq pit and a fridge in the place it's good to bring your own and chill out when you're there.Current steed is a '07 Carrera Banshee X

Biggest & best just across the road from Dalbeattie forest

Castle Point just along the road a bit, enter forest at Colvend

Add on the coastal path to either of these sites/villages and you have a great all-day ride.
