I am stuck at work. God I want to be outside (17/3/2009)

I’m stuck at work.
A beam of sunlight beats ferociously at my window.
The ray of Sun pounds frantically at the back of my neck.
The World is bright today, full of innocence and playful.
I am stuck at work.
Babies are being made today.
Songs written and Words sung.
Dreams become reality as reality shifts into the bliss of dreams.
It is beautiful outside and I am stuck at work.
All I want to do is ride my bike, God I want to ride my bike!
I feel like a caged animal!
A Lion locked away in a zoo desperate to pound the open plains of the Savannah.
God I want to ride my bike, all I want to do is ride my bike.
I am stuck at work.

Correct as you will. I'm also bored.

So pleased I got a decent run out this morning, but I echo your sentiments; wish I was out on my bike too.

You lucky sod. I spent this morning sat in my local path lab for hours waiting for a blood test    Then had the quandry of whether to ride and turn up sweaty and very late or drive and get in arround the time I agreed with my boss. Decided to drive to make a good impression and have regretted it all day.
When I get home I'm off out for some hill reps and I don't care how dark it is, I just need to get out on my bikepain is temporary, the glory of beating your mates to the top of the hill lasts forever.....................

I have a window too. It's got Tower Bridge and the Tower of London outside.
And a window sill for drying gloves

The weather was so good yesterday i stayed out for 5 hours on the road bike.
The lambs were out and the daffodils ,it was lovely.

Saw some hot lady cyclists when I was out for lunch. Wish I was on my bike we could have such fun.

First for me today,
6 year old daughter and I went for a pootle on our bikes.
- It's not easy riding at the speed of a 6 yr old on stabilisers. (DDD any tips?)
- The instinct is strong with this childDaddy I'm beating you up this hill
- I put on the power ....Scalp!
Finally the spirit of the day is summed up in the following conversation"Daddy, why do you not wear a helmet"
"Because I don't have one"
"When my next tooth falls out I'll give you my tooth fairy money to buy one"“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

NOT HELPING MUCH!!!
I agree with JA, I read your post and almost burst..........worst bit is the wife and kids are coming down with a bug so I need to nurse them, unless of course they all fall asleep and I can nip out for a sneaky one! Looking forward to tomorrow as I'm back up in town, only problem is I need to take the cr4ptop in so will have a heavy bag heading in tomorrow and on way home Friday......0 -

I want to establish something. I don't personally think I'm slow. After the Marlborough Loop, yeah I was tired. But at the end of it, it wasn't like I fell off the bike in a heep of my own sweat and disgust absolutely crippled from physical fatigue.
I was slower than others but probably paced myself too stringently because I never experienced those distances before and didn't know what my body could take.
I know your joking Wheezy but I just wanted to throw the above out there. Oh and the race with Jash is still on and the challenge is open to the rest of you out there....
@ITB: I hate you for having such beauty around you.
@Bassjunkie: Repeat after me - in an obnoxiously deep manly voice. "Woman! I'm riding my bike! Soon Come!" Note that I did in fact have a pre-ran bath waiting for me as we entered London after the Marlborough Loop. That's just how I roll! 8) 8) 8)Food Chain number = 4

Life sucks for you guys. I just got back from 80 glorious back-breaking miles in the Surrey Hills.
Haven't you heard? Unemployment is the new employment!Shazam !!0 -
I took the long way to work and the even longer way home today!
Oooh what a lovely day for riding. 8)0 -
Calpol certainly wouldn't work on the wife as she hates it (weird eh?)
Having been in for a while now the kids are bouncing off the walls, so nothing new there!
Guess I'll just have to enjoy myself on the way to/from town tomorrow!0
