The weather for leather?

LBS have just rung: my Bowery 72 is awaiting collection, but sadly I'm at work, so can't pick it up until tomorrow (T minus 20 hours...).
Anyway, the '72 has a leather saddle. I'm unaccustomed to such devices, and am a tad concerned that leaving the bike outside all day might have adverse consequences (the bike gets parked in an inner quadrangle - away from prying eyes, but open to the elements).
What do people recommend?

Brooks supply a weatherproofing treatment for bike saddles or go into your local equestrian store and get some saddle soap0

Cheers for that - bottom line (no pun intended!), then, is that rain + leather saddle + bike left outside all day is not a good combination...
