Biking in Désaignes, southern France.

This may be a long shot, but has anyone ever ridden around Désaignes in France before? It's a bit south of Lyon.

I have an offer of staying there with some family and they say it's good for mountain biking, but they aren't exactly mountain bikers. I'm sure it'll still be fun, it's the countryside after all and that's what riding is about (partly), but just wondering if anyone has any experience of the region.

Thanks.

I've never been there, so I had a look on the map and googled it.

Desaignes has a hight of between 380 and 1170 metres, well a good start it's not flat.

On the map plenty of wiggly roads and it's in a national park, so plenty to do for the outdoorsman.

There's a camp site that advertises VTT that's in the village

I am now feeling jealous that I haven't any family in this area.

So I don't think your family are leading you up the garden path on this one.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like it should be a winner then.
