Set sky + for today's stage of Terrino race and also the programmes before and after and all I get is the last 6KMs.Seriously pissed off!Surely there has to be enough interest for a dedicated cycling channel on digital showing races throughout the season and off season showing races from 70s onwards.I would be happy to pay for this.I've tried cycling.TV and wasnt very impressed with the channel.Anyone else interested to see if this is a possibility.

Why did you only get 6km? I only got home in time to see the final 30k or so, but they seemed to be relatively on schedule...

I'm watching my Virgin Plus recorded version of todays stage right now. It's fine.

They did have highlights of yeterdays Paris - Nice stage on right before so perhaps you got the last 6km of this? Although I will be a tad annoyed if I miss the end of the race due to a late start!

Could this be a Sky + schedule problem rather than Eurosport?

That happen to me to! The only reason I saw the last 6km was because I recorded the programme after.

That's the first time I've ever been pleased that they can't run their programmes to fit the time required to see the end!

I think a cycling channel would be great! Doubt we'll get in on Eurotennis, whoops, I mean Eurosport.

Same here..............oh well, at least my Sky+ box isn't on the fritz which is what I'd assumed had happened. Same thing happened on Saturday's Paris-Nice coverage and I blamed my lad for fiddling with it, much to his protestations of innocence.

I freaking love Eurosport. Wouldn't mind a bit more post-cycling coverage though.

That happened to me and again yesterday. For some reason the Sky+ ONLY recorded the programe after the cycling. Fist time I thought I made a mistake; second time I know it's a problem with the Sky+.

......and to me again on the final stage of Tirreno-Adriatico. But massive plus marks for Eurosport, I could watch the evening highlights. 8)

But when you think back to the 90's we were lucky to get even the big World Cup races - quite a contrast to the amount of coverage I've seen even at this stage in the season this year.

I know that people moan when we don't get live coverage at weekends when it clashes with tennis or motos, but let's face it, for a relatively big range of sports, Eurosport do pretty well in general. It's only when cycling gets canned for handball that I get riled..........."Handball?".........."That's cheating in football to me".

agree the only way to sort it is to tape the programme before and after the scheduled programme it is rubbish but there you go i would deffo subcribe to a dedicated channel
live sport must be a nightmare to schedule.

Does anyone on the forum know if it is possible or viable to set up a channel dedicated to cycling. What would the subscription level be.I would rally like to canvas some support for the idea if it is practicable.

How much cycling are Sky going to show? When will they start? Is it just the TdF? I see Eurosport still have the Giro for this season anyway.

Eurosport is a great channel*, their coverage of the Moto GPs for the last years has been excellent, unfortunately they have lost it. They are showing the Carrom world champs at the moment, we played that at school. I dont want to watch it on TV though.

*although yes it does pee me off when they say "welcome to todays stage in the blah blah blah, you join us with 15k to go and they are descending after the biggest climb of the day when so and so broke the entire field....."

AFAIK Sky aren't showing any cycling this season, BBC still have the track, ITV/Eurosport have the Tour and Eurosport have the classics, Giro and Vuelta.
