Granny ring on my M970 XTR chainset is shot.
Can I use any replacement with suitable PCD or do these things have a special offset?
Recommended replacements? (I'm looking for longevity rather than out and out weight saving).

Cheers

if you looked on Shimanos webby you could see that it is standard BCD for the 970.

I'm OK with the BCD ... just wondering if the offset from fixing arm is standard.

If its anything like there previous XTR range then you have very little choice except XTR chainrings

    Thanks again.

Got a reply from Middleburn that confirms my suspicions....

the XTR 970 22t ring is 64pcd but it is not the standard 4-ARM. The ring is the same as the XTR960 (the counter bores are in the other way around compared to the standard 4-ARM) our product code is CR9922HC.
