Routes In Mirfield

Hi there
Just wondered if anybody knows if you can cycle through Dewsbury golf club or a route round it.
The reason i am asking is a mate and i where behind some cyclist on Stearnard Lane in Mirfield. The cyclist ahead of us turned right up the hill on to Sands Lane but all i can tell from Google maps it is a dead end when you get to Dewsbury Golf Club.
I live in Huddersfield and was looking for routes and where to go i know of the Greenway route 66 and the Spenvally greenway and done both.
