Recommend an LBS?

Hi
Considering buying a road bike. As a beginner I dont want to use the internet so can anyone recommend an LBS in the Cheshire/Lancashire/Merseyside area?
In particular does anyone have any experience of Formby Cycles in Formby, Ron Spencer in Warrington, Royles in Wilmslow, Leisure Lakes nr Preston? Any feedback, positive or otherwise, is appreciated. Thanx.

Not tried the one in Wilmslow but, if you're in Wilmslow and are willing to go to the city centre of Manchester, Harry Hall Cycles is good. They are peopbably the most helpful i've experienced and all the staff seem to have expertise in all aspects of cycling.0

Harry Middletons in Ormskirk are helpful - they put my first road bike together and were very patient. Formby Cycles have agood range and Pedal Power in Formby are also very helpful.0
