Exhausted and I've not ridden anywhere!

Well, the times I have been up and down two flights of stairs in two different houses carrying heavy items or boxes full of heavy items are now too numerous to mention.
But, feeling the dull aches in my arms and legs at least make me feel pleased that I probably haven't lost any fitness (ignoring the cycle-specifics) over the last week or two!
I won't get to ride in now until Thursday, maybe Friday too if I'm feeling energetic - but I'm also out dancing Friday night... It's possible I may get a chance to get the bike out on Sunday, weather-permitting (I know, but this is recreation, not the commute, I don't want to get cold and wet AND bruised while trying out SPDs for the first time).
Feel like a bit of a failure actually - have only ridden into work about 5 times since getting this bike - I've been waylaid by a holiday, a funeral, and an exhausting house-move (we only moved literally around the corner so didn't bother to pack things up too well in advance, and refused to hire a van instead using cars - one of which broke down - and a friend's Espace. I'll know better next time).
Oh well, at least in this slack period I've bought the SPD shoes and pedals, a new set of kit (long and short-sleeve jerseys, padded shorts, padded 3/4 length leggings), and a bicycle computer (with cadence!).
Just hope I get properly back in the saddle soon. Sunday was such a gorgeous day and I was stuck mostly inside, packing and shifting boxes.
Rant over!

Hey Sara, when you ride does your hair fall over one eye, like in the pic, or do you adjust it for binocular vision?
I have just started wearing my first pair of 3/4 and they're great! Also they prove I am an XL in dhb clothing, not a L like all the items I've already bought :roll:0 -
Haha!
No, I do a rather early-nineties-style trick of running my hand backwards through my locks and then jamming on the helmet (or cap if I'm feeling naughty/just nipping into town) before it flops back down again.
Need a hair cut, actually, hrm...
...yay for 3/4 stuff..! Only I'm still not so keen on wearing these shorts and leggings alone, and currently throw various other shorts and things on top. I fancy going to find some lovely tight little short-shorts that I would /never/ dare wear alone but that would look dead cool on top of cycle-tart gear...0
