Is it just me or did yesterday feel a bit like the start of summer? Trails were mostly dry with only some mud in the trees.....some parts of the trail were even dusty!
First ride of the year where I havn't come home covered head to toe in mud!

It was great wasn't it! Shame I performed a complete and utter fail.
Woke up with some strange substance on my face, turned out it was sunlight! Wasted no time in getting dressed, grabbing my DH bike and heading for Cwmcarn!
I was a little worried when I realised I still had mud tyres fitted, bugger, no highrollers in the Van ether, nevermind I thought, I'll be lucky to get 1 or 2 uplifts in before all the people who've booked turn up and I'll head home, nope good old Will said they had 1 full day pass left, so I was forced to buy it, ha ha.
First couple of runs were fine, but even if it's belting down Cwmcarn is a pretty dry track, but it was bone dry by 11am, great fun, but the tyres just couldn't bite, aside from a quite gracefull slide into the fence at the bottom of the off camber/road drop bit I stayed on, but it was hard work, ha ha fun though.
I really, really hope we have a good summer this year, I'm going to have 2 months paid gardening leave mid-may to mid-july I'm going to get so much riding done!0 -
