off with the family at the end of april but have managed to negotiate a couple of days riding while we're there. Anybody recommend some routes (ride a long forked hardtail) about 25miles ish in length with good singletrack/views but not too extreme!

  • You are in lucky you are next to two awesome trail centers.

Bwlch Nant yr Arian is one of the best trail centers in Wales if you like flowing singletrack. you can rid there from Aber it's just up the road. If you got a car then then go to North east to Machynlleth it's got the great climax trail and the mach trail if you want to cover some distance.

I love this part of wales. Great all weather trails.

There are routes above Strata Florida SW of Aber. There are some bridleways above Talybont (between Aber and Machynlleth) though I don't know what they're like.

Ask in Summit Cycles in Aber and their other shop The Holey Trail in Mach, IIRC they worked with FC on the Nant-yr-Arian trails and organise the Dyfi enduro. There's the Climach-X in the forestry north of Machynlleth.
