North London MTB Trails for Begginers

Hi,
Being quite new too MTBing as a specific sport, where could I find a few nice XC/Single track where I could gain confidence and some skill? I havn't learnt much mntainbiking technique, so routes with large dropoffs etc. arent rili suitable.

Any suggestions are welcome thanks

Epping Forest is the nearest area to North London with plenty of trails.

Bit further round to the east Thorndon, near Brentwood, plenty of trails also.

if you can get out of London and go up the M1 there is Woburn where they run skills courses (Get Mountain Biking) which are great value and the instructors really know their stuff. They have beginners courses, intermediate courses and general rides

There are lots of places such as bedgebury pineton about an 1h-2h away from london. There is also epping forest and many other rides
