ironhorse sunday?

how suitable is an ironhorse sunday to general freeride and messing about in the local woods, plus some bike park sessions in the alps and whistler. i am looking at the ironhorse sunday elite which has a slightly more freeride orientated setup and wondered if anyone knows what these bikes are like.
i can get either the 2008 or 2009 bike for just under £2700.. if anypne has any other suggestions of good bikes for that price and under they would be greatly appreciated.
