Hi everyone
I am new to the area and looking to get out most weekend mornings for a spin. I usually take in about 35-40 miles at a steady pace, I am no racing snake but like a challenge.
Any suggestions or like minded riders out there??
Darren

You have plenty of options, especially if you like hills. Look up the route of last years Surrey Legs of Steel which started at the top of Box Hill. Probably a little longer (from memory it was 55 miles or so) and you can probably leave out the loop which took us up the Ba*stard 22% gradient.
The national trust cafe at the top of Box Hill will be full of bikes late morning as most of those of us in SW London will come out and eat our cakes there.0 -
Kingston wheelers website has a number of standard routes aroung the Surrey Hill that pass near Dorking.

You can also get maps from Surrey CC, they're at a quite good scale and very clear to read, available for free. http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/sccwebsite/s ... endocument'Twas Mulga Bill, from Eaglehawk, that caught the cycling craze....0 -
There is also a group of us who meet at richmond park then head into the Surrey hills, thread:
