Insurance paid out. Relief

Today and yesterday I got two cheques from the insurer of the driver that hit me last year. A total of about £1080 to cover having to buy a replacement bike and about a hundred quids worth of bus fares where I couldnt cycle. I was gutted I couldnt cycle, but now it seems part of that little drama is sorted (still waiting on personal injury stuff to be sorted but thats in hand)

Whats annoying is that I've started thinking "..hmm I could put Zipp wheels on the Kona Jake.." today. Dear god, what is wrong with me. Also started looking at Ultegra brake systems... nothing wrong with anything I already have.

Better stick the cheques in on monday and buy the camera I'd been planning on getting before the accident or save it. :oops: I should probably save it.

I had originally been saving for a nikon D3 but I see theres a new one out now. The D3x :oops: Always had a fondness for cameras. I have a 5x4 monorail in the loft too. Got about 20-30 of them... the only think I have more of is guitar pedals..

I've become the same with bike gear. Funny that, who'd have guessed it.

Oooh! :shock: The D3x is ALOT of money though int it. I think I'd just have a D3, Is Ken still boycotting the D3x? I haven't been to his page for a while.
