I am looking to purchase a new rig this weekend.

I currently have a race hardtail (Marin IFT) with 4" of travel

A hardcore DH/FR rig (marin Quake)

What I want is something in between.

I have a budget of £1500

So far this has caught my eye,

Seems a good deal comparative with everywhere else.

Anyone have any other options for that budget (mid travel trail bike)

Could be an 02007/8/9 bike

Thanks

I think that got reviewd recently by one of the mags. Seems a decentish weight for the travel and intended riding, and pretty good parts value.

Here comes the GT bit ;-)

Got some good reviews, and such good value.

Frame is gorgeous, you'd think 1200 was the price just for that!

Is a little steeper than the 6 inch rear travel might suggest, but no bad thing as not a DH bike, and that rear travel is wel lserved by the ID system.

I think I may give that a whirl SS..

Am ordering online from said shop, but at that price, with that kit, I think it may be a perfect contender.... between the two bikes I have already.....

    With money left over...!

I'll give them a bell tomorrow...... see if they have any in a medium!

    Nice one fella!

I would, but can't. I have NO GT dealers around me and I am sans car at the moment.....

I won't blame you if it's a gash ride lol

Have been doing some research and pretty much all positive!!!!

That price is shocking - it truly is!

*Hopefully* ordering this later today. If they have my size that is...... :)

Has anyone any feedback on this bike/own one/ridden one etc etc...

Most of the reviews I have read on it seem to indicate its a good ride, though the only negative is that the front doesn't always know what it wants to do at low speed... not a problem for me as I am a speed freak.. (nah, miss daisy more like)

    Cheers
