The Rock Lobster is a nice bike its been around for years and hasnt changed as far as I can tell a good example of if it aint broke dont fix it
I was looking at getting one of those commi 5.5s but the colour was giving me headaches so I went for the 4.2 in a much more gentle blackFig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -

Thats the main thing
My mate has just had his bike resprayed and we reckon he was hammered when he chose the colour it is luminous yellow you could use it as a lighthouse to warn ships off the rocks. On its first outing we waited till he went to the bog and all got handfuls of mud and smeared it all over the frame, his face when he came back and saw his pride and joy was the funniest thing I have seen in yearsFig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -
Update:
Now with Thomson stem, Monkylite EC70 bar, Charge Spoon saddle and SLX rear mech (due to accident).
What do you think of the brown seat, yay or nay?0 -
yay, !
is it comfy?Giant Trance X0 (08) Reverb, Hope Hoops 5.1D, XT brakes, RQ BC, Works Components headset 1.50 -
Unfortunately it's a nay on the seat from me.
The rest of the bike is very nice though and I actually think the green is pretty striking!0 -

Seat looks good IMO.
How are you finding the stem? Just treated my Lobster to a 90mm Thomson X4 to replace the 70mm Race Face. Much nicer riding position - not so cramped.0 -
Pdid i know this is a long shot but have you recently been over ireland with your lobster? In the words of the GLC - Suicide is messy but it's money for free!!!0
