Hi , just joined to day.
Can anyone help me, I have taken up triathlon training and want to buy a wsd road bike,
which is better? Trek 1.5 or Giant 1.5w. I have only ever used a mountain bike and have always bought Muddy fox or Marin I am very new to the world of road bikes. Budget of £600.00 for first road bike.
Any advice would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance

Any reason why it has to be WSD?
I bought a bike for the other half and made the assumption I should get a WSD. Then I spoke to people at 3 bike shops whose consistent opinion was that the WSD "tag" for road bikes is generally just a load of marketing guff. And it leaves you with a limited choice.
No substitution for trying out some bikes at the LBS and finding one that fits you build, whether you be a bloke or a bird...
That said, I looked at both of these when buying for the wife. Main differences between the two - as I recall (might want to check to be certain) - are that the Trek is a Triple while the Giant is a Compact crankset?
Also, I think the Giant is all Tiagra components, the Trek is a mix of Sora and Tiagra. Tiagra being one step higher up the Shimano component evolutionary chain.0
