Ripped Bar Tape - What Do I Do

Fell off the bike this morning (waving to thank a car, hitting pothole and tumbling off - not at all embarrassing!) and ripped my new bar tape on the right hand drop. I also scratched my alu bars but assume that's not a problem.
So do i need to get an entire new bar tape or can i get away with just taping up where it's ripped. And if so, what's the best tape to use.
Cheers

Either wrap some electrical tape over the scuffed tape to stop it unravelling further or replace the whole lot. You can spend from £2 to £50 on bar tape - your choice depends on how much time you spend crashing and how deep your pockets are. I find Fizik is durable and comes up nice and clean after a scrub - about £10Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Electrical tape tidies it up well I reckon.

What do you scrub it with? I've got some yellow bar tape that's rather oily thanks to carelessness and I was wondering what might be done about it. Laundry detergent?
