cane creek c2 bearings

I need new bearings for my cane creek c2 head set but have just seen the price of them (£29 when i only paid £19 for the headset ) i,ve read somewhere that shimano ones fit and are alot cheaper ,does anyone know if its true and if so which ones .

    shimano do not make cartridge bearing headsets.

    take an old bearing to a bearing shop. Or buy the cheaper complete headset and use those bearings.

    LBS if you cant easily get to a bearing shop, got a replacement lower bearing for £4 or could have taken a complete set for £8 from my LBS.
