(sorry, am bored at work today)

The odd bump in the road that surprises me every now and then is starting to get, er, uncomfortable upstairs. Does anyone have a recommendation with regards a good (but not crazily-priced) sports bra?

Cheers!

Wrap cling film around your chest to pin em down... that's what I have to do...

Doesn't it depend on how big up top you are?

Oh man I can't wait for this thread to get going..... watches eagerly!!!

I use the Berlie Shock Absorber - and have no complaints.

THough am not suggesting you get it from Rigby and Peller (though I did!).

    Hope that helps.

Perhaps a video clip of the "problem" would help us to help you (no, not you Don)? :D

  • If not a sports bra, can you ride no handed?

This is the sort of threat Greg T lives for...

Now, someone did post on here a few months ago a sportswear site that does have a video clip of the problem... if I remember correctly, you key in your bra size and the video adjusts to show the correct degree of bounce.

DDD will probably remember the video and link you to it... :D

    Tsk, boys.

Thanks Coriander, I'll look that up later! Seems that being a workforce of mainly men, they've blocked lingerie sites!! Haaaahaha.

Actually even though I can get to the odd site, I'm not sure I'm comfortable looking at pictures of ladies in bras given the said 40-something men that surround me...

Sarajoy and other ladies, if you don't have a video a picture of the problem will do...

How fast must you be going for it to hurt? How high is the bump and how big the appendage?

    Ba Da BOOM.

Now then I believe, at a stretch we could describe this as a lingerie thread.

My personal contribution is that Agent Provocateur "little minx" bra and pantie set whilst balancing just right that tricky slut / saint axis (very slut little saint in case you didn't know) is NOT suitable as cycling apparel.

I find the knickers ride up my bum somthing chronic and the lace in the bra snags my chest hairs - makes my eyes water.

However the warm glow you get from knowing you've skinned some dude ragged whilst wearing full webbing is worth the minor pain.

While I have to admit I'm amused by the attention, this is actually a serious request, guys.

    It's not a comfortable occurrence!

If there are indeed better or worse sports bras for different sizes, let's hypothesize that I am at the national average.

....... and you seriously expected a better response? We are all 14 year-old schoolboys on here after all.

I think we need a better understanding of the loading demands placed on the garment - a scenario if you will.

Perhaps it's a summer day, you are cycling along a pathway, soft focus. You happen upon a guy who's having trouble opening a bottle of champagne.

You pop his cork and he asks how he can repay you.

Greg you need to be a comedian!

I've got tears in my eyes laughing having read both your posts.

    My girlfriend is ample...

She would advise trial and error as it would seem each make adheres to its own measurements and each shop measures differently from each makes sizing. I suppose its a case of finding a brand you like and sticking with them.

There's nothing funny about ladies underwear mon brave - deadly serious and potentially fatal - if you forget your safe word.

Sara - I use the Shock Absorber level 4/5 ones - about £25 a pop. I've also recently got an under armour zip-front one - very good indeed, but dearer:

M&S ones fall apart, it seems, but they're cheaper.

EDIT: Bought some a while ago with side fastenings. Don't. Ouch.

My wife has a fantastic sports bra - swears by it.

I think she got it from Bravissimo - may be very wrong here (she is err....busty?!?) - has lasted for a couple of seasons of rowing, a few half marathons and so on

It smells bad, but still wraps up the twins should exercise occur - I'll leave no as I am blushing......And have probably offended everyone.
