Tacx Sirius assembly problems
Anyone got one of these and had difficulty assembling it ? It's not a problem with the instructions. The problem I'm experiencing is that the metal rod attached to the blue handle which moves the resistance unit won't fit in the bracket on the trainer frame (this will probably only mean anything if you've already got one !). I could try forcing it in but it would probably damage the paint on the frame and, anyway, the thing is supposed to move freely as far as I can tell. It looks to me as though it's either a manufacturing or tolerancing fault (the metal rod on the upper limit, the frame bracket on the lower limit).
Anyone else experienced this problem ?
Thanks

Was this ever solved?
Also:
I am wondering if the Sirius can take 120mm spaced track ends without problems....assuming I get the appropriate Tacx adaptor bolts.0 -
Yes, I solved it by application of a bit of brute force. By very carefully forcing apart the two sides of the mounting bracket it all went together without further problem.
Not sure about your other question though. If it helps, you can easily download the assembly manual for the Sirius from the Tacx web site. If you want me to measure/check something on mine, please ask.0 -
Thanks for confirming it was assemble-able.. and the Tacx website resource reminder!
If anyone in future reaches this thread via Google with a similar question.
I've found an answer to mine (i.e. `yes') here:

tho Tacx's Satori model probably apparently won't be a go-er in that regard:
