I was looking at my bike and it looks a little stock so I decided as a treat once I am working again I am going to change a few parts to make her a bit more mine!

The first thing I have thought of is a stainless steel hose set for my Tektro Breaks

now do you feel this would look tacky on my Carrera Banshe X 2008 to be seen

I was also thinking of some stainless steel gear cables too as a starting point as money will be tight to begin with

    Sorry, couldnt resist.........................
  • Those cables would look nice. If you want to go a bit further, I've invested in some lizard skin lock-on grips with anodised red lock rings, a charge spoon saddle (grey with red logo) and a hope anodised red QR seat post clamp. I think it looks ace, but then I'm a bike tart.

It would have to be anodised blue am thinking to match the blue paint on the frame!
  • Hope do blue anodised kit. I'm sure you can find the rest to match too - the saddle might be a problem.

  • That's some good work there fella, hats off, looks very nice indeed. Get some SLX crank arms and a pair of XT/xtr shifters and it'll be flawless.

i have got the xtr combo shifters already and i did have the crank arms to the crank but there was a prob when it came to fitting them o i used the equally light deore ones.

She does ride very sweet and well balanced indeed, very responsive which is what i need.

P.s Hope do the full kit in blue anodised mate so go for it would look nice !!

Where did you get those mate? I've been looking for some black grips with red clamps. Considering a set of grey/red Peatys....
  • They are just that - grey/red Peaty grips. Bought them from Evans if memory serves.

Cheers, I think they're going to be going on soon. I'll keep the standard Cube ones for the time being, until the start to slip.... :D

    speed_king, that's not blinged up...

Pick a colour and then buy as much stuff as you can!!!!

Gear outers, brake hose, if you've got hope brakes then bore caps look great, levers/master caps can be overkill, qr skewers, seatclamp, KCNC jockey wheels, derraileur bolts, chainring bolts, DMR pedal kit for pins and end caps, topcap, headset, bottom bracket, obviously saddle.

If you really want to dispose of some money then you could get the blue crank brothers wheelset!!!!

Oh, i forgot to mention, at the moment, I'm pimping my 456 (black and red), my inbred (it is going to be entirely white and chrome 8) ) and my pompino which is baby blue and black and then there is my jump bike which is black and gold...

And before you say i've got too much money, only the 456 was bought new, and i work in a bike shop so save a fair bit there
