That's all fine and well white coated propellerhead, but if you've seen parameters change why has nothing been done about it exactly?
[I know we need water tight cases and fully support that but surely talking about how wonderful it is when it's not been shown to do anything is pointless]

Hmmmm, well maybe the fact that they are starting to talk about it is a sign that their confidence is increasing....? Ever the optimist.0

Sometimes you can't prosecute because the test is not approved by WADA, sometimes the data may hint at doping but no more. For example, a high haematocrit is not proof of doping, it could be natural or the result of dehydration, you need to catch the rider for EPO or blood doping.
But this isn't so say nothing is done. Remember the Lausanne lab has been supplying data for "intelligence" purposes, if riders return irregular numbers with their samples then they are now being watched more closely and tested more often, in and out of competition.
Still, the UCI has a "no start" rule under the bio passport scheme where riders showing suspicious values can be suspended for a week or two if the numbers come up funny, but this rule has not been used once.0 -
Hopefully they'll release this information to the AFLD to use for their targeted testing during the Tour - shame they haven't struck a similar deal in Italy.0
