Hi all does any one have any experience of Charge Bikes sizing?
I'm thinking of getting a Charge Plug or Racer but as i may well order it off the net i'm not sure about what size would be suitable.
I'm 5'11 and a 32" inside leg.
The bikes come in Small 56cm, Medium 59cm and Large 62cm.
I know this is a bit difficult to answer but any sort of help would be great.
Cheers.

AFAIK the plug is measured from BB centre to the top of the seat tube. So you can take an inch out of the size to get the more more common centre to centre measurement. According the Charge website the large measures up at 56.6 CTC on the top tube which is a more important measurement than the seat tube to many people.
Coincidentally these measurements match up pretty closely with my favourite Peugeot. Even more coincidentally my meaurements match pretty closely to yours and I find the Pug fits me perfectly. Obviously the whole area of personal preference comes into it, but the large sounds like a pretty good starting point to me.
Having said all that it's still worth trying to get a test ride, or a least climbing on one in the showroom of your nearest Charge dealer to make sure.
After all I wouldn't want to be responsible for you getting the wrong size.0 -
agree with gareth...get on one first.
being a taller rider you should be ok...as a short-arse (5ft 5") I found the small was nearly too big for me.
having said that i went ahead and got a Tap and absolutely love it. The position in the saddle is great but i really would suggest you sling your leg over one before splashing the cash. Not without a purpose, not without a fight.0
