Sounds like one of the Marins of the time, they had that super tuff paint job on the frame and then had flourescent coloured forks, stems and bars.

I cant remember the exact model ur thinking of but im 95% ur thinking of Marin though.

My first proper bike was a marin pine mountain, was a top ride back then.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

    Marin Eldridge Grade

    Marin Muirwoods

They all came with the fancy paint job

    & Black
  • I had one of the old Marins for a while. It had been sprayed at some point but I'm sure the forks were fluorescent yellow underneath. They were good and light.

Think the black and orange one was the Muirwoods or Eldridge Grade

The Palisades was bright lemon yellow. The Bear Valley was black too, but IIRC it had gloss black graphics on a matt black frame.
