Hi,
Looking at buying an orange alpine 160 am over the easter period. Im having trouble deciding which brakes to go for on the options list. Im unsure weather to go for the hope tech m4 203/183 with standard hoses or for an extra £25.00 go for the tech v2 with 203/203 and braided hoses. Whats the added benefit of the v2 over the m4, and would they be overkill for the type of riding i would entail. Mainly trail centres, the odd short dh track, and occasional trips up to scotland?
And any opinions on the orange alpine as a bike?
Cheers

get the M4's much more suited to what you want. happily powerful enough with the 203 rotor up front.
think it'll keep the weight down too.0 -
Go for the M4's I have these on my Orange 5 AM and go for
floating rotors too.
I have the Braided hoses as spec has standard.
Regarding over kill I dont think so, my friend went down and was
able to brake and stop instead of going over his head !

for the extra £25 go for the V2's, they're easier to set up being one pair of pistons.0
