new chainset fitted on trek 1.5

ive just put a new chainset on my trek 1.5 a shimano sora hollowtech2 3403 triple 50 39 30 with a shimano 4500 tigra bottom bracket and a sram pc 991 9 speed chain, so i guess i can also put the same onto my winter trek pilot 1.0 which is 8 speed

    The 9 speed Sora chainset will work with 8 speed. You can also run a 9 speed chain with 8 speed.
