Boardman Urban Pro - Tyre Change

I bought an Boardman Urban Pro in December, and whilst love it on the road, I have a challenge coming up that will require some light off-road....I am really confused as to what tryes will fit the Xero XSD 29 wheels, so any advice would be appreciated. I suppose some form of cyclo cross tyre??

    You'd be surprised at what you can do off road on normal tyres. Whats the challenge ?

    A Duathlon in Scotland..15 mile run followed by 40 miles around a loch on the bike. I have never attempted anything like this before, so the fewer complications, the better - training is going well and I am so glad I have bought a bike after 20 years + of not having one.

    I was a little concerned that the thin tyres wouldn't be up to any form of offroading at all, and maybe not up to scratch in the puncture department, but I am a complete novice at this...chainsets / chainrings.....all looks like this could be a hobby to keep me going for some time!!
