Hi everyone,,,,,,
I broke my Shimano chain this morning..... what a bummer... not happy...
I decided to buy a more expensive chain but am new to all this so need some guidance on how to fit it and what tools I will need. (The chain is longer than my old one)
I bought a SRAM PC-991
Bike is 2009 Boardman Pro

Any help... pointers
Cheers :!:

You will need to measure it, and use a chain tool to split it. We have a guide in the FAQ or workshop stickies on how to measure it.

Then simply thread through the mechs and around the cogs, then use the powerlink to join.

Did you keep the old cahin? Easiest way is to compare the lengths. Yes, I know chains "stretch" over time but its still the easiest way.
