hg73 or kmc x9 - any advice ?

looking at changing my chain this week . narrowed it down to either a hg73 or a kmc x9 . to be honest i dont no anything about chains or even how to fit them . It will be going on a 105 setup.
which is the better chain or is there no difference .the only thing putting me off the kmc is a thread running at the moment about them breaking .
any advice is appreciated .

I've used KMC & SRAM chains on my 8sp, 9sp & 10sp bikes for several years and they've been great.
I won't go back to a Shimano chain with that awful use-once-break-off joining pin - apart from the ease of use of the KMC & SRAM missing-link, I think the chances of installing the Shimano pin wrongly and that failing are huge.
I use KMC quite happily, but if you don't want to use one, why not use SRAM instead ?
I've never used Connex Wipperman but others recommend them and again a joining-link rather than that Shimano joining pin.0
