Aston hill, any good?

Me anda couple of my mates are thinking of going to aston hill next saturday for a blast, was just wondering if anybody knew of the conditions at the min and generally if it is any good.
I ride a 2008 felt compulsion ...................well i did till i went to the north downs and my swingarm decided to detach itself from the frame

    the chalky soil will be nearly as slippy as ice if it is raining when you go. Its bad enough in the dry.

    Ok thanks, if its been raining i wont bother taking the 2 hour journey to get there.

    There is a 4x track, a freeride area and some short downhills. Its good to ride in all weathers.

    Ive hada look at chicksands website and it looks really good so if the weather is ok saturday me and my mate are going to go there

    Chicksands has a bit of everything, Woburn is more XC although it dies have some mini-DH tracks and dirt jumps as well. Woburn soil is sandy so drains quickly if it has been raining.

    I'ts not great if your doing XC but it is good for downhill and 4X
