Did Ballan even start? Pozzato was nowhere too.
  • I read all too late that Ballan was a doubt, he came down I'll last night. I think it's 'cos I picked him for PTP!

You and about 50 others. Then there was a mad scramble of people changing their picks to... er... Pozzato. Oops
  • Buggeration, Ballan didn't start

  • That's a good win for Loevkvist. Nice result for Daniel Lloyd too.

What an absolutely stunning race. I really hope next year we get it on Eurosport or something like that.

Hopefully it'll appear on a torrent soon. For those interested in such things, there's a pile of early season stuff on Demonoid.

Gerderman was pedalling squares there think maybe he needed to drop down a bit, he might have won had he done so.

My dvd recorder was doing it's stuff on Saturday for the Eroica but when I came to watch it the disc was unusable, laptop with WMP sometimes has more luck but it also didn't recognise it. Darn.
Good link tho' for the the 20 mins or so of highlights of the race. I'd love to ride that : not as ridiculously hard and brutal as Paris - Roubaix but it just looks a fantastic course to ride. Need to check out the Sportive version I think - wonder if if it covers the whole route ?
Returned DVD recorder to Argos as it has started making funny noises and won;t reliably format a DVD+RW disk and now have a (more expensive) Toshiba version.

Quick tip - Rai Sport are showing Paris - Nice this week and Tirreno - Adriatico. 1 stage will probably be live, other not but it does at least mean that you can record both while at work and not have the issue of changing channels - I think you can probably set your receiver to do this but I've never tried it and I like watching races with Italian commentary anyway.
