Now that i'm riding the road bike a lot more for training I need to get a speedo sorted, unfortunately the one that was on there has busted.

As I have a pocket PC (sony x1) I thought with the right software it will make a great computer, and allow me to use google maps to help he get about but I need a way of putting it on the bike.

Does anyone know of a good mount? A google product search gives me 100s of results ranging from 2-25 quid but none of them have decent info.

Ideally id like as much protection as is reasonable whilst being able to use the touch screen.

thanks in advance

i mounted my pda on my bike and it lasted about 1 ride.

not because it came off - just because the screen was useless in the direct light while riding.
you may want to test that before spending too much energy on a bracket.

what i used by the way was zip ties and a car mounting bracket

  • I found a PDA bike mount on ebay for few £. I've not used it with the PDA yet as I'm not convinced it will hold the PDA secure enough. Zip ties sounds like a good idea.
2 Wheels or not 2 wheels..That is not in question.
