I expect to have my new BTW bike soon and as i will be carrying a rucksack to and from work...are there any good recommendations out there? I won't be carrying much in the rucksack, all suits are kept in work and I just bring in a change of shirt/socks/ and some addtional cycle gear ie waterproof and possibly extra top, together with my lunch for the day. I want the rucksack to be well ventilated if possilbe and to sit tight on my back with little movement.

I think most modern rucksacks are overpriced, overcomplicated cr*p.

However I've been using this puppy for a while. Bomb proof ; water proof ; comfortable and visible (if you buy a bright one). Love it.

    I've got this one:

Loads of really good features, but might be a bit big for your purposes (although there is a 10litre version that got very good reviews in cycling plus - then again, that might be a bit small)
One day, I'm going to buy a cottage in a small village and become its idiot!
  • I have this one: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/deu ... k-ec010581 from Deuter and it's very good and wearing well (one year on). In particular it has a waterproof cover that you can put on it and good pockets. It has a zip that allows it to be compressed from it's full volume. Not as comfortable as the karrimor I used to have but nearly ... I couldn't find another karrimor when I was looking.

I use this one and have done for the last year. I commute as you are going to and it has 2 separate sections so you can keep the cycling tools etc away from the your work clothes.

    It's been excellent.

Indeed about the Deuter one above!

I have one of those (and had for about 2 months!) and it is great, you barely notice you are carrying it. It is not very expensive too :)
