Highly likely I shall be selling my Mythic Monday (too much for trail riding all day) and I was thinking about a 2008 GT Sanction 1.0 in the sales (Lyrik forks, XT/Saint/Thomson kit) = more trail friendly, although quite a tough build. They retailed at £2500 only a couple of months ago and I have always lusted after one.

Does anyone have any opinions on them, in fact as anyone ridden one? It's not really going to be possible for me to test ride it as they are few and far between at the moment and I would be getting it shipped to me from afar.

As I said, it's not 100% yet (many variables at the moment) that the Mythic shall be sold, hopefully it will be. I think the GT would be a more suitable replacement for what I want to do.

Hopefully, (but things change) my aim is to have......

1. A 'Go-Fast' bike (Marin Indian Fire Trail)
2. A 6-inch hardcore trail bike (GT Sanction)
3. A 7-inch downhill/FR killer (Marin Quake 7.3)

Oh and my silly little hack jump bike that is growing on me...

The Yeti (although new just finished and unridden) is going soon to pave way for the Quake, The IFT is all the 4" travel bike I need

So anyway, back to the GT... any feedback

Just a thought, but isn't the Quake very similar to the Mythic?

Yes, a little similar. Lighter and different geometry given that the Mythic is a Slopestyle bike, but I am planning on doing some *pansy* DH'illing on the quake  .

Also, have ridden a Quake and loved it!! :D

I have covered pretty much all bases in terms of bikes for specific purpose...

    God, I confuse myself.
